Wow, 17 weeks! I went to the doctor on October 15th and they set my apt for my ultrasound on October 27th! I'm so stinkin excited! My family and I need a little joy in our lives with all the sadness that has been in our hearts for the past 3 weeks. I still have such a strong feeling that its going to be a girl, since Ron was so convinced it was. He was the only one that had an intuition and now that he's gone, I just really feel like he is probably right. Guess we will see in a couple days if he's right!

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
